How do I get Windows Zero Config to stand down? BTW, I have a Windows 7 Ultimate machine.Įdited by Techdude1, 12 June 2012 - 01:57 PM. Status of Ralink's link Info say "NIC or driver not ready".Īll that means is that Windows is blocking Ralink from taking primary control as it did several days ago. ![]() Ralink driver updates/repairs don't help. Windows will not relinquish it's primary control over the wifi network. I tried another complete uninstall/reinstall. Now that I WANT Ralink's site survey back as I'm sure I don't want to use Windows now, I can't. I then saw that Ralink's site survey would not come up. The next day I downloaded the Ralink software again, plugged in the turbotenna and opted to "use zero configuration as configuration utility". Just for the hay of it, after a few days, I uninstalled the software and just plugged in the usb antenna(turbotenna) and Windows found the drivers and it worked fine through Windows own site survey. I would click on it and the site survey would come up and there would be many networks etc. Initially I set it up and it worked great. ![]()
